FOUNDER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Jennifer Argenti is the founder and Creative Director of Charlotte Brody who was originally trained as an Art Historian. She began her career in Florence, Italy studying Art Restoration, then moved to London to study Decorative Art and continued her work at Christie’s International Auction House for 8 years where her aesthetic was developed. After studying technical design and couture detailing at The Fashion Institute of Technology she opened Charlotte Brody New York.
Charlotte Brody is named after Jennifer’s maternal Grandmother who was a chic and extraordinary Southern woman who was ahead of her time. She traveled to New York and Italy to buy the fashions of her day and commissioned designers, such as Verdura, to make her one of a kind pieces. She was an international rose judge and an organic gardener who believed that nature would strengthen the soul. Her legacy is the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden which is a part of the Sarah P. Duke Garden at Duke University.
