OUR STORY

I launched Charlotte Brody in 2004 from my tiny studio apartment—armed with Art History degrees from Princeton and Georgetown, a decade at Christie’s, and a couture education from FIT. Nearly two decades, two kids, and countless bolts of silk later, I’m still doing what I love: designing clothes that help women feel beautiful, confident, and like the best version of themselves—whether they’re heading to school drop-off or walking into a black-tie gala.
At Charlotte Brody, we’re on a mission to bring soul—and sustainability—back to fashion. Every piece starts in our New York design studio, where we dream up original prints and incorporate hand-painted and embroidered details. We produce in small batches, using only the finest fabrics and expert NYC artisans. By skipping splashy fashion shows and big retail markups, we’re able to invest where it matters: in exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
Inspired by our namesake, a fearless environmentalist and advocate for thoughtful living, Charlotte Brody designs aim to make everyday moments feel a little more special. Our collections—two core drops a year with mini capsules in between—are meant to move with you through your life, effortlessly.
I’d love for you to be part of this journey. Whether you're dressing yourself, a client, or someone you love, Charlotte Brody is here to help you add a little artistry, elegance, and ease to every day.
Let’s make getting dressed the best part of your day.

Jennifer Argenti's beloved Grandmother and muse, Charlotte Brody
Charlotte Brody was a master gardener, international rose judge and my Grandmother. She spent the last 40 years of her life educating people in her community about the importance of organic foods and gardening for a healthier lifestyle. Her dream was to establish a safe place where all children could learn and experience the joys of gardening. The Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden at Duke University features organic vegetable beds, an orchard, fruiting shrubs and vines, outdoor classrooms space and two cisterns that can hold more than 7,000 gallons of rainwater. Amazingly the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden grows, harvests and donates more than 2,700 pounds of produce each year to local hunger relief organizations.
In addition to spending time in her garden, Charlotte Brody adored travel and collecting exquisite and unique fashion and jewelry. I am forever inspirited by my Grandmother’s style whether in the garden, at a party or on one of her adventures. She was always elegantly dressed with a glint of fun.
